BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a work glove system, which includes a towel member, which may be secured and removably attached to a work glove. The work glove system enables a user to have readily available towel member, by removably attaching it to a work glove, for various uses, such as, cleaning, wiping perspiration, etc.

[0003] The present invention pertains to an all-purpose glove which is adapted to having a towel member or other textile member adhesively attached to either the palmar segment of the glove or the dorsal segment of the glove.

[0004] The present invention further relates to a glove which may be worn on the right hand or left hand of a user which includes the towel member or other type textile member coupled to the palmar or dorsal segment of the glove. 2. Description of the Prior Art

[0005] Gloves of various kinds, such as mittens, muffs, sports gloves are well-known in the art and readily available to users. They are used, in most instances, to protect the hand from harmful elements, such as, cold weather, harmful working conditions (gardening, construction, etc.). Gloves are used to encompass the hand of a use and in most instances have separate portions for the digits of a user's hand.

[0006] One problem associated with conventional gloves is their limited use. For example, a user with a conventional glove that requires a towel to either clean with or wipe perspiration has to carry the towel separately or obtain such an element when required.

[0007] Another problem associated with conventional gloves is that such well-known gloves can only be worn on a specific hand of a user. Specifically, conventional gloves are not known to be interchangeable and therefore worn on either the left or right hand of a user.

[0008] Yet another problem associated with conventional gloves, is that the gloves that do incorporate cloth members into the glove incorporate such member with a smaller surface area than the segment of the glove to which they are attached.

[0009] The best prior art known to Applicant includes U.S. Pat. Nos. 3,885,249; 5,956,770; 5,706,521; 6,280,529; 4,843,652; 5,003,637; 4,244,057; 2,651,071; 3,056,154; 2,432,325; 1,426,797; 6,275,995; 1,882,588 and Patent Application Publication 2003/0145873.

[0010] Prior art systems such as that shown in U.S. Pat. No. 4,843,652 direct themselves to overlying materials in the pattern of the glove and are affixed thereto. Such systems do not provide for the removability of a towel member which extends from the glove and is contoured in a shape of a towel.

[0011] Prior art systems such as that shown in U.S. Pat. No. 3,885,249 direct themselves to working gloves which have removable burring elements attached to the glove surfaces. However, such prior art systems do not provide for a towel member having a greater surface area of the glove dorsal segment.

[0012] Other prior art systems such as that shown in U.S. Pat. No. 5,956,770 provide for glove shaped releasable elements attachable to the glove. However, such prior art systems do not provide for a towel like contour element attachable to only a segment of the surface area of the glove.

SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

[0013] The present invention provides a work glove system that increases the limited use of a conventional glove.

[0014] It is one object of the present invention to provide a work glove system including a work glove and a towel member. The work glove has finger portions extending from a body section and defines fingertip portions. The body section defines a palmar segment, a dorsal segment and a wrist segment. The dorsal segment includes a first plurality of glove securing patches. The towel member has a surface area greater than the surface area of the dorsal segment and is attached to only a segment of the glove. There is at least one towel securing patch on the towel member for removable attachment to a glove securing patch.

[0015] It is another object of the present invention to provide a work glove system in which the work glove is interchangeable and can be worn on both the right and left hand of a user.

[0016] It is yet another object of the present invention to provide a work glove system that increases the limiting use of convention gloves by incorporating a towel member.

[0017] It is a further object of the present invention to provide a work glove system, which includes a towel member that is removably attached to a work glove.

[0018] It is yet another object of the present invention to provide a work glove system, which includes a towel member with a first edge of the towel member being fixedly secured to a work glove and a second edge of the towel member being removably attachable to the work glove.

[0019] It is yet a further object of the present invention to provide a work glove system, which includes a towel member with a larger surface area than the palmar or wrist segments of the work glove.
