FIELD [0001] The present disclosure relates generally to methods, systems and apparatus for features of an inter-related toy item. BACKGROUND AND SUMMARY [0002] Toy vehicles typically include decorations that are used to enhance the vehicle's look, which can increase the desirability of the vehicle for collection and play. Further, in some cases, a toy vehicle's wheels may be decorated. [0003] However, the inventors herein have recognized that the in some cases the decorations applied to a toy vehicle's wheels can rub off, or become obscured after play. Further, there may be limited space for decorating wheels that have a low profile design. [0004] Therefore, in one approach, a wheel for a scale vehicle is provided. The wheel comprises a first portion with a first surface; and a second portion, distinct from and substantially adjacent said first portion, where said first surface is at least partially visible through at least a part of said second portion. [0005] In this way, decorations or other indicia may be utilized that are protected, yet still visible, while at the same time providing an exciting wheel appearance. Such an approach may also allow color coordination of wheels with car colors, without requiring the additional manufacturing process of coloring wheels (although additional coloring processes may be used, if desired).
