Tie stabilizer - c

USPTO Application #: 20070006361
Title: Tie stabilizer - c
Abstract: The purpose of the Tie Stabilizer is to safely secure a necktie to an individual's shirt thus eliminating the use of a tie pin which causes damage to the material of both the shirt and tie, silk in particular. It also prevents the tie from flying aimlessly in the wind or shifting; Tie Stabilizer prevents the vertical misalignment of the tie under a sport coat/jacket thus enabling the wearer to maintain the generally desired professional appearance. [0001] The main purpose of the Tie Stabilizer is to stabilize a man's tie, to keep it from moving or flying in the wind.

[0002] The Stabilizer is made up of five (5) main parts: [0003] Part 1: The main body with a horizontal leg and vertical leg; [0004] Parts 2 and 3: Two (2) pivot springs. [0005] Part 4: The vertical arm with a head and tail end. (The tail end having small teeth for grip), [0006] Part 5: The horizontal arm with a head and tail end. (The tail end having small teeth for grip).

[0007] Part 1: The main body is made in the shape of a cross of precious metals or plastic. (Drawing attached)

[0008] Parts 2 and 3: Parts 2 and 3 are the same, two (2) small metal pivot springs which will attach the vertical and horizontal arms to the main body and allow the opening and closing of parts 4 and 5 at the tail end.

[0009] Part 4: Part 4, the vertical arm will be attached to the vertical leg of the main body by the pivot spring on the back side of the main body with the tail end to the bottom. The vertical leg along with the main body will be attached to a man's tie.

[0010] Part 5: Part 5, the horizontal arm, will be attached to the horizontal leg of the main body by the pivot spring on the front side of the main body with the tail end to the left. The horizontal arm along with the main body will be attached to the backside of a man's shirt.

[0011] To assemble, the pivot spring (2) will attach the vertical arm along the vertical leg approximately 1/2 from the right of the horizontal leg with the tail end of the vertical arm to the bottom and teeth facing main body.

[0012] The pivot spring (3) will attach the horizontal arm along the horizontal leg approximately 1/2 from the right of the horizontal leg with the tail end of the horizontal arm with the tail end of the horizontal arm to the left and teeth facing body.

[0013] Once the tie stabilizer is assembled, it can be put to use. The vertical arm can be opened by the spring and closed on the small holding material on the backside of a man's necktie. After this is completed, the horizontal arm is opened by the spring and closed on a man's shirt along the button hole edge of the shirt thereby stabilizing the tie.
