BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [0001] The invention relates to means and methods to preserving or prolonging the preservation of Foods and Beverages after a sealed container has been opened. The advantages of this Lid should be obvious by the fact that Foods and Beverages can be preserved for a longer period of time after air has been removed from the space that remains after some of the content has been removed from the container. This also applies to coffee by the fact that it prolongs its freshness. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING [0002] The above object, together with its described features of the invention, will be apparent in light of the details of construction and use of the Lid. [0003] FIG. 1. in the drawing depicts a top view of the Lid. [0004] FIG. 2. in the drawing represents a cross section view, taken along the line "A-A" of FIG. 1. [0005] FIG. 3. shows the sealing pin that is part of the construction of the Lid. This sealing pin must also be removed in order to relieve suction before the Lid can be removed from the container. [0006] FIG. 4. shows the cross section of a container (plastic or metal) with the Lid inserted and sealed. DESCRIPTION OF THE "LID" [0007] Referring to FIGS. 1,2,3 and 4 of the drawing, the "Lid" can be made by molding of a plastic material and formed to fit any existing or new containers made of plastic or metal.
