Brief Patent Description - Full Patent Description - Patent Application Claims CROSS-REFERENCES TO RELATED APPLICATIONS [0001] The Invention claims the priority date of Taiwan Patent Application No. 093217253 filed on Oct. 29, 2004 and having the same title. STATEMENT REGARDING FEDERALLY SPONSORED RESEARCH OR DEVELOPMENT [0002] Not Applicable DESCRIPTION [0003] 1. Field of Invention [0004] This invention relates to an improved shoe sole, particularly to a shoe sole structure having air-ventilating and waterproof features. [0005] 2. Background [0006] Using the measure of maintaining in-shoe dryness so as to reduce in-shoe temperature has been adopted in the shoe industry for numerous years. However, additional air sacs are usually adopted as power source for substituting the air. Though such design may achieve the intended purpose, high difficulty involved in mass production due to its complicated structure. [0007] The air-ventilating shoes disclosed in Taiwan Utility Model No. M242033 describes an air-ventilating shoe, including a shoe vamp and a shoe lining laminate having a shoe upper, a shoe pad, an inner sole and an outer sole, characterized in that, the outer sole is provided on an upper surface thereof with an elastic air sacs connected to air conduits, the air conduit extending to the shoe upper and locating between the shoe vamp and shoe lining laminate, wherein the air conduits on the shoe upper is formed thereon with air conduits in communication with external ambient. [0008] Further, Taiwan Utility Model No. M240851 describes an improved shoe sole air-ventilating structure, including an opening provided to a heel portion of the shoe sole, the opening being provided with an air sac, wherein the air sac having an upper front edge extending from a bottom of the heel and remaining edges being connected to a periphery of the opening by means of a suspending tab. The air sac has a bottom that connects to a planar surface after inclining rearwards such that a bottom edge of the air sac protrudes out of the heel bottom, whereby the air sac would be compressed during walking and stamping to result in blasting effect for generating air convection within the shoe thereby achieving air-ventilating effect. [0009] Further, Taiwan Utility Model Application No. 87200563 also describes an improved air-ventilating and waterproof breathing shoe structure, including: a shoe sole, a shoe pad, a shoe vamp, a shoe pad, two bottom pieces and a heel, characterized in that, the shoe sole is provided at a front end thereof with horizontally arranged slits, the slits being in communication with opposing edges of the shoe sole, the shoe pad being laminated over with waterproof air-ventilating cloth. The waterproof air-ventilating cloth is extended with a small section of folding edge that cover over a bottom periphery of the shoe pad. The shoe pad is provided at an inner bottom face with air sacs that communicate to a front end and front edge of the shoe pad by means of passages. The shoe pad is provided thereon with plural air vents penetrating the passages. The shoe pad is provided at a front end thereof with a folding edge such that the air sac would generate forced air flowing through the passages and air vents for discharging or charging air into the shoe space due to stamping action of the foot, and through the waterproof air-ventilating cloth so as to be exhausted externally via the slits. Water is prevented from reversely entering through the slits as being blocked by the waterproof air-ventilating cloth so as to maintain in-shoe dryness and ventilation. [0010] Though the above art can theoretically achieve the intended air ventilation effect for the shoe, their structures are most complicated so as to increase difficulty in commercialization. Therefore, it is desired to develop a shoe sole having air-ventilating waterproof features in a simplest way. SUMMARY OF INVENTION [0011] To overcome the shortcoming of the conventional art, this invention provides a shoe sole structure having air-ventilating and waterproof features. [0012] It is thus a primary object of this invention to provide a shoe sole structure having air-ventilating and waterproof features, using an extremely simple structure to provide a shoe sole structure having air-ventilating and waterproof features with significant efficacy so as to effectively reduce in-shoe humidity and to maintain in-shoe dryness. [0013] To achieve the above objects, this invention provides a shoe sole structure having air-ventilating and waterproof features, provided with penetrating air vents at certain regions of the shoe sole, the air vents being provided at an outer side thereof with a serrated elastic fin and laminated at an inner side thereof with an air-ventilating waterproof film, such that when the shoe sole comes into contact with ground during walking, the serrated elastic fin is compressed to seal the air vent, and when the shoe sole takes off from the ground, the serrated elastic fin recovers due to its elasticity to open the air vent, whereby warm and human air in-shoe is substituted by external fresh air due to pumping effect resulted from continuous closing and opening of the air vents by the serrated elastic fins so as to maintain in-shoe dryness. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS [0014] These and other modifications and advantages will become even more apparent from the following detained description of a preferred embodiment of the Invention and from the drawings in which: [0015] FIG. 1 is a planar view of the shoe sole of this invention; [0016] FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the shoe sole of this invention; [0017] FIG. 3 is a schematic view showing the serrated elastic fin of this invention prior to subsequent to pressing. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS) [0018] These and other modifications and advantages will become even more apparent from the following detained description of a preferred embodiment of the invention and from the drawings in which: Continue reading...
