Modular building structure


Abstract: A hexagon building structure offset layering system uses hexagon structures assembled in an offset layering architecture to construct building walls, floors, roofs, and other structures. Hexagon building structures (7) include interior panels (1) and (2) that are adhered to both sides of a foam core (3). The structures (7) also include radial cutouts (6) at each corner for offset layering assembly with another structure (7). Peg retainers (5) selectively secure the hexagon building structures (7) to one another. Six alignments fastening holes (4) are equidistantly spaced and located on interior panels (1) and (2). The holes (4) provide fastener locations for screwing or bolting through the layers of the hexagon. The holes (4) align with an offset layer of hexagons when assembled in the axial direction. Conduct holes (12) are selectively located depending on the fastening technique selected. The hexagon system includes five derivatives of hexagon building structures (7) and a door or window header, providing square, triangular, and curved geometries when assembled. Since hexagon buildings are built from hexagon building structures (7) without customization, hexagon buildings can be rebuilt, modified, or recycled onto a like building using the same materials. ...
