Method for managing exercise for function recovery and muscle strengthening description/claims

This is a continuation application of the patent application Ser. No. 10/451,858. The application of the application Ser. No. 10/451,858 is the U.S. National Phase under 35 U.S.C. §371 of International Application PCT/JPO1/05383, filed Jun. 25, 2001, which claims priority to Japanese Patent Application No. 2000.388445, filed Dec. 21, 2000.

This invention is a control system of rehabilitation and muscle power strength training that enables a person including such as the elderly and handicapped who require training to recover and improves and/or strengthens a body's impaired function. Additionally, this is a Control System of training by the Takizawa program and the motivative exercise for an elderly and/or a handicapped person to perform it.

There was the rehabilitation to improve, recover and/or strengthen a body's impaired function of an elderly and/or handicapped person. There was the rehabilitation to improve, recover and/or strength the body functions that decreased due to motionless state for example as with an astronaut. The exercise of the rehabilitation was divided into a passive exercise and an active exercise.

Namely, the rehabilitation is an exercise centering on a passive exercise where a physical therapist rehabilitates a patient individually. It is also active assistive exercise where a patient moves an impaired finger and/or hand by themselves excluding extremities, or active exercise where a patient of good physical condition practices gymnastics and moves a desired part of a body as indicated by a therapist such as a physical therapist.

Those training methods were put in practice and administered by the physical therapists who coordinate the exercise under the guidance of a physician and exercise the patient.

Or patients exercised with active exercises under surveillance.

Physical therapists check a patient's physical condition and decide the contents of the rehabilitation, which are suitable for each person, depending on the amount of experience of the physical therapist, in order to realize the physician's prescription of the rehabilitation, training, exercise, etc. every time.

A physician or a physical therapist mentally prepares and assembles the training contents to every patient.

In the case where the caregivers rehabilitate a patient at home, the caregiver performs the passive exercise with the advice of a physician and/or a physical therapist.

This applicant defined the exercise as the movement of a functional extremity accompanied by the movement of the impaired extremity by the use of devices as the motivative exercise.

This applicant named a method of how to perform the rehabilitation and muscle power strength training to strengthen the muscle power with the motivative exercise to the center of the Takizawa program.

And this applicant has reported the principle of movement of the motivative exercise and the method of how to perform the rehabilitation as follows:

Heretofore this applicant has invented the equipments related to the motivative exercise such as lower extremities function training devices, upper extremities function training devices, and walkers.

Upper extremities function training devices are devices such as patents request PCT/JP00/04062 MOTIVATIVE EXERCISE AND LIFTING AID DUAL DEVICE. Devices for standing and walking are devices such as JP U 1895489 WALKER, JP 1901372 U FOOT BRACE, JP S 882110 MEDICAL SOCK, JP S 952134 and JP S 1008033 BATHROOMS CHAIR.

Also JP S 1085325 LIFT and the trademark AID CUSHION, JP3351881 are registered by the Japanese Patent Office as related devices.

Furthermore this applicant is applying devices to realize the motivative exercise such as the patent application H06-29447 walker, the patent application H 11-358206 lower extremities exercise device, the patent application 2000-180958 the motivative exercise device for lower extremities, the patent application PCT/JP99/07115 lower extremities exercise device, the patent application PCT/JP00/03978 the motivative exercise device for lower extremities and the patent application PCT/JP00/04062 the motivative exercise combined lift.
