A computer readable medium including instruction stored thereon, characterized in that: a first set of instructions for determining if a SelectedInterlaceOn state is entered; a second set of instructions for generating a SelectedInterlaceEnabled indication; and a third set of instructions for placing a most recent SelectedInterlaceAssignment message in the public data.

An apparatus operable in a wireless communication system, characterized in that: means for determining if a SelectedInterlaceOn state is entered; means for generating a SelectedInterlaceEnabled indication; and means for placing a most recent SelectedInterlaceAssignment message in the public data.

4. A method of processing procedures in selected interlace states in an Open state in wireless communication system, characterized in that: determining if a SelectedInterlaceOff state is entered; and generating a SelectedInterlaceDisabled indication.
