Heating and hot water supplying system using fuel cellHeating and hot water supplying system using fuel cell description/claimsThe Patent Description & Claims data below is from USPTO Patent Application 20070079769, Heating and hot water supplying system using fuel cell. Brief Patent Description - Full Patent Description - Patent Application Claims RELATED APPLICATION [0001] The present disclosure relates to subject matter contained in priority Korean Application No. 10-2005-0093588, filed on Oct. 5, 2005, which is herein expressly incorporated by reference in its entirety. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [0002] 1. Field of the Invention [0003] The present invention relates to a heating and hot-water supplying system which utilizes a fuel cell. More particularly, the present invention relates to a heating and hot-water supplying system which, by utilizing a fuel cell, is capable of supplying electric energy to a home or a building, and capable of performing a heating is operation and supplying hot water thereto by using the fuel cell and a boiler, thereby decreasing a usage amount of gas or oil. [0004] 2. Description of the Background Art [0005] Oil, mainly used as an energy source, pollutes the environment and is running out due to an excessive demand thereof. In order to replace the fossil fuel, fuel cells are being developed. [0006] These fuel cells serve to directly convert chemical energy into electrical energy. In this regard, the fuel cell electrochemically reacts a hydrogen-included fuel and an oxygen-included air with each other, and then directly converts an energy difference between prior to the reaction and after the reaction into electric energy. The fuel cell continuously generates electric energy while fuel and oxygen are supplied thereto, and generates heat and water as byproducts. [0007] The fuel cells may include, by way of non-limiting example, at least one of a Phosphoric Acid Fuel Cell (PAFC), an Alkaline Fuel Cell (AFC), a Proton Exchange Membrance Fuel cell (PEMFC), a Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell (MCFC), a Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC), a Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC), etc, [0008] According to at least one field of application, the fuel cell can be largely classified into a home fuel cell for supplying electricity to a home, a fuel cell for vehicles applied to an electric car, a small type fuel cell used in a portable electronic device such as a portable terminal and a notebook, etc. [0009] The home fuel cell may serve, e.g., to supply electric energy to home electric appliances or home fighting devices. [0010] In a cold area, or a country having seasonal variations (e.g. four seasons), a fossil fuel such as oil, gas, coal, etc. may be used for the indoor heating of a home or a building. In places such as Korea, a boiler system may be used for the indoor heating of a home or a building. Fuels such as gas, oil, etc., may be used in the boiler. [0011] The general boil system will be explained with reference to FIG. 1. First, a boiler 10 installed outside a home or a building receives a fuel to combust. Water is heated by combustion heat of the boiler 10, and the heated water is circulated through a radiating line 20 connected to the boiler 10 and installed in a floor. Accordingly, as the system operates the water is heated by the boiler 10, and flows through the radiating line 20. The heating of the water is repeatedly performed, and heat is emitted to the indoor floor thereby heating the indoor floor. [0012] A hot-water line 30 is connected to the boiler 10 and a tap water line 40 through which tap water is supplied. The tap water line 40 may be connected to, e.g., a lavatory room, a bathroom, a kitchen. Tap water supplied through the tap water line 40 is heated by the boiler 10, and then is supplied to the lavatory, the bathroom, or the kitchen through the hot-water line 30. [0013] Reference numeral 50 denotes a power supplying line for supplying external power from a power plant. [0014] However, in the related art boiler system, water is heated by combustion heat generated after combusting gas or oil, and the water is used to heat an indoor room or is utilized as hot water. Accordingly, a usage amount of the gas or oil is increased thereby causing pollutants which are harmful to a human's body, and economically burdening a home or a building. That is, the high price of the gas or oil, due to an increased demand, may inflict a great economic burden onto a home or a building. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION [0015] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a heating and hot-water supplying system which, by utilizing a fuel cell, is capable of supplying electric energy to a home or a building, and is capable of performing a heating operation and supplying hot water thereto by using the fuel cell and a boiler, thereby decreasing a usage amount of gas or oil. [0016] To achieve these and other advantages and in accordance with the purpose of the present invention, as embodied and broadly described herein, there is provided a heating and hot-water supplying system which utilizes a fuel cell. In this regard, a fuel cell and a boiler may be installed in a home or in a building, a fluid may be heated by reaction heat from the fuel cell and combustion heat from the boiler to circulate and heat an inside of a floor of the home or the building, and the reaction heat from the fuel cell and the combustion heat from the boiler may be used to heat tap water, thereby providing hot water to a lavatory or a kitchen of a home or a building. [0017] The foregoing and other objects, features, aspects and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description of the present invention when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS [0018] The present invention is further described in the detail description which follows, in reference to the noted plurality of drawings, by way of non-limiting examples of preferred embodiments of the present invention, in which like characters represent like elements throughout the several views of the drawings, and wherein: [0019] FIG. 1 is a piping diagram showing a home boiler system; [0020] FIG. 2 is a piping diagram showing a heating and hot-water supplying system using a fuel cell according to a first embodiment of the present invention; Continue reading about Heating and hot water supplying system using fuel cell...
