Hairdryer bellows

USPTO Application #: 20070186435
Title: Hairdryer bellows
Abstract: A hairdryer bellows has two connectors. One connector is mounted pivotally on and holds the other, and each connector has a spherical chamber and a sleeve. Each spherical has a proximal end, a distal end, an inner opening and an outer opening. The inner openings are formed respectively at the proximal ends and communicate with the other spherical chamber. The outer openings are formed respectively at the distal ends. The sleeves are formed respectively around the outer openings, and one sleeve is mounted selectively on a hairdryer. Therefore, the connectors can rotate relative to each other so the sleeve can be pointed in any desired angle. (end of abstract)

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a hairdryer bellows, and especially to a bellows mounted on the hairdryer.

[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art

[0004] Since a person holds a hairdryer in one hand, doing another task such as applying make up with the other hand is not convenient.

[0005] With reference to FIG. 9, a conventional hairdryer stand (50) to hold a hairdryer (60) comprises a base (51) and a holder (52). The holder (52) is mounted on the base (51) and has two curved sides and a cavity. The curved sides are formed with each another and define the cavity between the curved sides. The hairdryer (60) has a handle (61). When the hairdryer (60) dries a person's hair, the handle (61) of the hairdryer (60) is mounted in the cavity in the holder (52) so the hairdryer (60) is mounted in a vertical plane. Although the hairdryer stand (50) can be pivoted in the vertical plane, the hairdryer stand (50) cannot rotate to other angles so a person's hair cannot be dried completely.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The objective of the present invention is to provide a hairdryer bellows so the angle of air discharged from the hairdryer can be adjusted.

[0007] To achieve the foregoing objective, a hairdryer bellows in accordance with the present invention comprises two connectors. One connector is mounted pivotally on and holds the other, and each connector has a spherical chamber and a sleeve. Each spherical chamber has a proximal end, a distal end, an inner opening and an outer opening.

[0008] Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0009] FIG. 1 is a side view in partial section of a hairdryer bellows in accordance with the present invention mounted on a hairdryer;

[0010] FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the bellows in FIG. 1 mounted on a hairdryer in a hairdryer stand;

[0011] FIG. 3 is a side view in partial section of the bellows in FIG. 2;

[0012] FIG. 4 is a front view of the bellows in FIG. 2;

[0013] FIG. 5 is an operational front view of the bellows in FIG. 2 with the bellow angled downward;

[0014] FIG. 6 is an operational front view of the bellows in FIG. 2 with the bellows angled upward;

[0015] FIG. 7 is an operational front view of the bellows in FIG. 2 with the bellows angled to the right;

[0016] FIG. 8 is an operational front view of the bellows in FIG. 2 with the bellows angled to the left; and

[0017] FIG. 9 is an operational side view of a conventional hairdryer stand mounted in a hairdryer stand.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0018] With reference to FIG. 1, a hairdryer bellows in accordance with the present invention mounts on a hairdryer discharge port to adjust air discharged from the hairdryer and comprises an inner connector (10) and an outer connector (20).

[0019] The inner connector (10) has an inner spherical chamber (11) and a mounting sleeve (13). With further reference to FIG. 2, the inner spherical chamber (11) is mounted detachably on a discharge nozzle of a hairdryer (30) and has a proximal end, a distal end, an outer surface, an outside diameter, an inside diameter, an inner opening and an outer opening. The inner opening is formed through the proximal end and has a diameter. The diameter of the inner opening is smaller than the inside diameter of the inner spherical chamber (11). The outer opening is formed through the distal end. With further reference to FIG. 3, the mounting sleeve (13) is formed around and protrudes from the outer opening, corresponds to the discharge nozzle and mounts detachably on the discharge nozzle.

[0020] The outer connector (20) is mounted pivotally on the inner connector (10) and has an outer spherical chamber (21) and a vent sleeve (23). The outer spherical chamber (21) is mounted pivotally on the inner spherical chamber (11) and has a proximal end, a distal end, an inner surface, an inside diameter, an inner opening and an outer opening. The inner surface is mounted slidably on the outer surface of the inner connector (10). The inside diameter corresponds to the outside diameter of the inner connector (10). The inner opening is formed through the proximal end, communicates with the inner spherical chamber (11) and has a diameter. The diameter of the inner opening is smaller than the inside diameter of the outer spherical chamber (21), which keeps the outer connector (20) from detaching from the inner connector (10). The outer opening is formed through the distal end and may be circular, olive shaped, elliptical or any other desired shape. The vent sleeve (23) corresponds to and is formed around and protruding from the outer opening.
