CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS [0001] This application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Application Ser. No. 60/671,686, filed Apr. 16, 2005, the entire contents of which is incorporated herein by its reference. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [0002] 1. Field of the Invention [0003] The present invention relates generally to safety and training aids for gymnasts and, more particularly, to gymnastics safety and training aid devices for the high bar and other apparatus. [0004] 2. Prior Art [0005] Serious injury has often occurred as a result of young gymnasts loosing their grip while training on the high bar apparatus and falling. Similar injuries occur as a result of a gymnast loosing his or her grip on the high bar, parallel bars or the loop and falling. A need therefore exists in the art of gymnastics for preventing a gymnast from falling on the ground after loosing his or her grip on gymnastic equipment, such as the high bar, the loop or the parallel bars. Additionally, a need exists in the art of gymnastics for preventing a gymnast from striking gymnastic equipment, such as a high bar or parallel bar during a gymnastic routine or practice. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION [0006] Accordingly, a device for use with gymnastics equipment is provided. The device comprising: at least one harness for securing around at least a portion of a torso of a gymnast; and one or more straps fixed at one end to the harness and rotatably engaged with a portion of the gymnastics equipment at another end. [0007] The at least one harness can include means for securing the harness around the torso of the gymnast and means for adjusting a size of the harness to securing fit around the torso of the gymnast. [0008] The at least one harness can be a chest harness secured around a chest of the gymnast. The one or more straps can comprise two straps and the device further comprising a shoulder strap secured at each end to the chest harness and disposed around the shoulders of the gymnast, the one end of each of the two straps being secured to the shoulder strap. [0009] The at least one harness can be an abdominal harness secured around an abdomen of the gymnast. The device can further comprise a chest strap disposed around the chest of the gymnast, the one or more straps being fixed at a point between the abdominal harness and the portion of the gymnastics equipment to the chest strap. The device can further comprise a groin segment disposed between the legs of the gymnast and secured at one end to a first side of the abdominal harness and secured at another end to a second side of the abdominal harness. At least one of the ends of the groin segment can be releasably secured to the abdominal harness. [0010] The one or more straps can comprise an upper and lower strap and a means for securing an end of the upper and lower straps together such that a length of the one or more straps is adjustable. [0011] The other end of the one or more straps rotatably engaged with a portion of the gymnastics equipment can comprise a loop affixed around the portion of the gymnastics equipment. [0012] The other end of the one or more straps rotatably engaged with a portion of the gymnastics equipment can comprise a karabiner affixed around the portion of the gymnastics equipment. [0013] The device can further comprise a wrist strap corresponding to each of the one or more straps for securing the one or more straps to a wrist of the gymnast. [0014] The at least one harness can comprises a chest harness and an abdominal harness. The device can further comprise one or more connection straps fixed at one end to the chest harness and fixed at another end to the abdominal harness. The device can further comprise a means for adjusting a length of the one or more connection straps. [0015] Also provided is a safety harness for use with gymnastics equipment. The safety harness comprising: a chest segment for securing around at least a portion of a chest of a gymnast; an abdominal segment for securing around an abdomen of the gymnast; a portion connecting the chest and abdominal segments; and two straps each fixed at one end to one of the chest segment and abdominal segment and each rotatably engaged with a portion of the gymnastics equipment at another end. [0016] The safety harness can further comprise a groin segment disposed between the legs of the gymnast and secured at one end to a first side of the abdominal segment and secured at another end to a second side of the abdominal segment. [0017] The safety harness can further comprise a wrist strap corresponding to each of the one or more straps for securing the one or more straps to a wrist of the gymnast. [0018] The portion connecting the chest and abdominal segments can be one or more connecting straps. [0019] Still yet provided is a method for preventing a gymnast from falling while practicing or performing on gymnastic equipment. The method comprising: securing a harness to the gymnast, and rotatably securing a portion of the harness to a portion of the gymnastics equipment.
