[0001] The present invention relates to a device for the dereeling of a film web roll which is mounted on a rotatable shaft. [0002] Foodstuffs are increasingly being offered nowadays in plastic packagings. As a rule, these plastic packagings comprise a deep-drawn packaging trough and a cover film, which is sealed onto the latter after the filling of the packaging trough. The production of the deep-drawn packaging troughs and their sealing with the cover film takes place cyclically, so that the plastic film from which the packaging trough is produced and the cover film are drawn off cyclically from a rotatably mounted roll. In order to avoid the packaging film sagging during the production process, the roll has to be subjected to braking. [0003] The problem underlying the present invention, therefore, is to make available a device for the dereeling of a film web roll. [0004] According to the invention, the problem is solved by a device for the dereeling of a film web roll, which is mounted on a rotatable shaft, and which has a brake disc which cooperates with brake blocks. [0005] It was completely surprising for the person skilled in the art that much higher braking forces can be achieved with the device according to the invention, so that the film rolls can be subjected to braking more rapidly and/or larger film rolls can be subjected to braking. [0006] The device according to the invention is explained below with the aid of FIG. 1. These explanations are merely by way of example and do not restrict the general idea of the invention. [0007] FIG. 1 shows the device according to the invention. A roll 1 is mounted torsion-resistant on a rotatable shaft 2. Shaft 2 is mounted on its right-hand side on the wall of a packaging machine. Bolted onto rotatable shaft 2 is a brake disc 3, which cooperates with brake blocks 4. The brake blocks, which in the present case are operated pneumatically, can be adjusted in such a way that the rotation of the film roll is permanently retarded or completely stopped. The brake blocks are connected to the wall of the packaging machine. The device according to the invention is suitable both for the dereeling of the cover film as well as for the film from which the packaging trough is produced. [0008] Preferably, shaft 2, brake disc 3 fixed thereto and brake blocks 4 are mounted in wall 5 in a floating manner, i.e. displaceable vertically and crosswise to the running direction of the respective film. This embodiment of the present invention has the advantage that film rolls that are not rolled up completely uniformly can also be processed. [0009] The device according to the invention can be produced simply and cost-effectively. With the device according to the invention, braking forces can be achieved that are three times greater than is known with film roll brakes according to the prior art. The device according to the invention preferably finds application in packaging machines. [0010] According to the invention, the problem is solved by a device for the dereeling of a film web roll, which is mounted on a rotatable shaft, and which has a brake disc which cooperates with brake blocks whereby the shaft, the brake disc and the brake blocks are mounted in a floating manner in a housing.
