BACKGROUND

[0001] 1. Currently, it is the opinion of this inventor that there is no commercially available digital absorbent pad similar to the present invention. It is also the opinion of this inventor that the current invention will be the first most commercially available digital absorbent pad used as outlined in this invention. The closet thing found to this invention that is commercially available is a padding and medicating device for the human foot comprising a sheet structure, preferably of an elastic fabric material and partially coated on one surface with a pressure sensitive adhesive, in combination with a pad of viscoelastic gelatinous material impregnated onto a portion of the same surface of the sheet structure as the pressure sensitive adhesive containing silicone in U.S. Pat. No. 5,098,421.

[0002] This device in U.S. Pat No. 5,098,421 containing silicone does not come close to solving the problem associated with athlete's foot. Sweat and other bodily fluids is able to remain in between the toes and front portion of the feet of the human body while using this device in between the toes and front portion of the feet of the human body. This device in U.S. Pat. No. 5,098,421 containing silicone does not provide for any absorption of sweat and other bodily fluids from in between the toes and front portion of the feet of a human being as does this invention. The device containing silicone in U.S. Pat. No. 5,098,421 that are used in between the toes and front portion of the feet of the human body is a non-absorbent. Therefore, such device containing silicone in U.S. Pat. No. 5,098,421 does not solve the problem referenced absorbing or transporting sweat and other bodily fluids from in between the toes and the front portion of the feet of the human body that generally causes fungus and bacteria resulting in athlete's foot.

[0003] The present invention solves the problem with how to channel, contain and absorb sweat and other bodily fluids from in between the toes and the front portion of the feet of the human being while wearing regular enclosed shoes, boots, sneakers and/or socks even during military activities, civilian activities, sports activities and/or at bed time. In the present invention, properly designed and constructed digital absorbent pads allows for sweat and/or bodily fluids to be channeled, contained and soak up by the absorbent material used in between the toes and front portion of the feet of the human body even while the user of the present invention wears regular enclosed shoes, boots, sneakers and/or socks even during regular military activities, civilian activities, walking, sports activities and/or during bed time.

[0004] This invention even provides for ventilation in between the toes and the front portion of the feet while such digital absorbent pad is being worn by the user of this invention. The device containing silicone in U.S. Pat. No. 5,098,421 does not provide for ventilation in between the toes and the front portion of the feet while such device is inserted because such silicone is a non-absorbent. It is known in the art that cotton and/or other absorbents opened pores generally provides for circulation of air and/or ventilation in between the toes and front portion of the feet by virtue of cotton and/or other absorbent's ability to breathe while being worn on the human body. As a result, in between the toes and the front portion of the feet of the human body will remain dry even while the digital absorbent pad is inserted and regular enclosed shoes, boots, sneakers and/or socks are being worn.

[0005] This invention will further provide for the healing of sores, blisters, rashes, scaly feet, fungus, bacteria, infection, cracks, smelly feet, itchy feet and other skin disorders in between the toes and the front portion of the feet of the human body even while the user of this invention wears regular enclosed shoes, boots, sneakers and/or socks. The device containing silicone in U.S. Pat. No. 5,098,421 does not provide for much air to circulate and/or ventilation in between the toes and the front portion of the feet notwithstanding the fact that such silicone device is sometimes also used as an insulator.

[0006] This digital absorbent pad, while inserted, constantly absorbs sweat and other bodily fluids from in between the toes and the front portion of the feet during military activities, civilian activities, sports activities and/or at bedtime. Therefore, not only is this invention by far the number one remedy for those individuals who already have athlete's foot and/or smelly feet, this invention is also a remedy for the prevention of athlete's foot and smelly feet.

[0007] Since the device containing silicone in U.S. Pat. No. 5,098,421 may be able to repel small amounts of sweat and other bodily fluids from getting in between the toes and the front portion of the feet of the human body while inserted, this silicone device does not completely solve the problem of what to do with the sweat and other bodily fluids repelled from in between the toes and front portion of the feet while wearing regular enclosed shoes, boots, sneakers and/or socks. In light of such repellant action conducted within the confines of such closed environment inside the socks and shoes, sweat and other bodily fluids is channeled and flows to other parts of the toes, front portion of the feet, socks and shoes. For the reason outlined above, the user of this silicone device in U.S. Pat. No. 5,098,421 is constantly being exposed to excess sweat and other bodily fluids build-ups. Due to the above-mentioned problems caused by the silicone device in U.S. Pat. No. 5,098,421, a heaven has been established for fungus and bacteria to grow resulting athlete's foot.

[0008] This digital absorbent pad is made from a small flat absorbent material that have been sufficiently compressed around the edges, ends and/or center and/or bonded or sealed or otherwise affixed to maintain its predetermined self-sustaining shape once construction is completed. Such absorbent material is not otherwise compressed in the remaindering areas that are considered by this inventor to be the necessary and/or essential components of a specified predetermined self-sustaining shape of such digital absorbent pad. Before sufficiently compressing around the edges, ends and/or center of the digital absorbent pad, such small flat absorbent material may be rolled, folded, twisted, layered, wrapped, bent and otherwise modified and assembled into any predetermined specified shape, length, width and thickness and constructed to achieve many different types of digital absorbent pads.

[0009] Such absorbent material is not otherwise compressed in the remaindering areas that are considered by this inventor to be the necessary and/or essential component part of a predetermined self-sustaining shape of such digital absorbent pad. It is the opinion of this inventor that digital absorbent pads made from many different types and constructions will become the most popular and successful in the marketplace.

[0010] In an effort to produce the most desirable overall absorbency, liquid absorbent material are generally constructed from batts of larger in size than the regular in size, which are sufficiently compressed to a large size and an extra large in size. As sweat and other bodily fluids are formed in between the toes and front portion of the feet, after such digital absorbent pad's insertion between the toes and front portion of the feet, these slightly compressed extra large and large digital absorbent pads are expected to absorb such sweat and other bodily fluids of the human body. Additionally, digital absorbent pad with increased absorbency also works well for applying and removing make-up, astringents and cleansing lotions, remove nail polish, creams, oils, and for baby care, general household, healthcare uses, treating or preventing turf toe and other bodily injuries.

[0011] When considering digital absorbent pads for in between the toes and front portion of the feet use, it the intent of this inventor to provide a digital absorbent pad in it's initial shape after construction that is of a comfortable and desirable size and shape for insertion between the toes and front portion of the feet, and when such a digital absorbent pad is placed in between the toes and front portion of the feet, sweat and other bodily fluids is absorbed while it's user's are wearing regular enclosed shoes, boots, sneakers and/or stockings or socks during work, various sports activities, day time activities, night time activities and at bed time without wearing any shoes. However, during bedtime, the inventor recommends that the user of this digital absorbent pad may wear socks or stockings or footies or some other device to hold such digital absorbent pad in place.

[0012] To preclude any sweat and/or other bodily fluids from escaping in between the toes and/or front portion of the feet while this digital absorbent pad is inserted in between the toes and the front portion of the feet of the human body, it is essential that such digital absorbent pad should be of an appropriate size and in between the toes and front portion of the feet shape and fit from a width, length and thickness dimension to accommodate all of it's users sizes. Having such above mentioned digital absorbent pad inserted, sweat and other bodily fluids would be contacted, contained and soaked up by such digital absorbent pad described as sweat and other bodily fluids travels along the length and width of the toes. Further, sweat and other bodily fluids may also escape contact if such digital absorbent pads are not thick enough to make contact with such sweat and other bodily fluids while such digital absorbent pads are inserted. In this regards, sweat and other bodily fluids have eluded being captured and soaked up by the absorbent pads.

[0013] To perform at its best potential, it is necessary that a digital absorbent pad should be of an anatomical length, width, thickness, shape and fit without sacrificing performance or comfort of its users while wearing regular or heavy enclosed shoes, boots, tennis shoes and/or stockings, tights, footies or socks.

[0014] Generally, to achieve its best performance, a regular size or a small size or an extra small size or a petite size digital absorbent pad in dimension inserted in between the toes and front portion of the feet of a human being with extra large feet and extra wide web spaces in between the toes would not constitute the best anatomical fit for such human being and would be lacking in performing up to its best potential.

[0015] Therefore, it would be advantageous to supply a digital absorbent pad of increased width, thickness and length dimension without any problems that may pertain to lack of performance, decreased comfort of such an absorbent pad while such is inserted in between the toes and front portion of the feet without any increased costs of making such digital absorbent pad.

[0016] Finding that such regular size or small size or extra small size or petite size digital absorbent pad of this invention of the best designs currently addressed in this invention do not provide for a method of preventing sweat and/or other bodily fluids from escaping while such regular size or small size or extra small size or petite size digital absorbent pads are worn by human being with turf toe, extra large feet and extra wide web spaces in between the toes.

[0017] The digital absorbent pad comprising slightly compressed, non-compressed and loose absorbent material must be sufficiently compressed to any size and shape around the edges, ends and/or center, including up to about one half of an inch (1/2 of an inch) and/or sealed or bonded or otherwise affixed to hold together and maintain a self-sustaining shape after construction of such digital absorbent pad is completed. Such absorbent material which has been twisted, layered, wrapped, folded, rolled, bent and otherwise designed and constructed to achieve an anatomical length, width, thickness, shape and fit of many different sizes of the human body were achieved without sacrificing performance or comfort of its users while wearing regular or heavy enclosed shoes, boots, tennis shoes and/or stockings or tights or footies or socks.

[0018] The digital absorbent pads includes designs and constructions for a human being with turf toe; extra large size feet and an extra wide in between the toes web spaces; turf toe uses and for a human being with large size feet and large in between the toes web spaces; for a human being with regular size feet and a regular in between the toes web spaces; for a human being with medium size feet and a medium in between the toes web spaces; for a human being with small size feet and a small in between the toes web spaces; for a human being with extra small size feet and an extra small size in between the toes web spaces and for a human being with petite size feet and a petite in between the toes web spaces. The digital absorbent pads can have a shape different from the oval shape if desired. The particular Length L2, Width W2 and Thickness T2 of the digital absorbent pads will be contingent upon the type of digital absorbent pads that is to be designed and constructed, such as an turf toe uses; extra large size, a large size, a regular size, a medium size, a small size, or an extra small size or a petite size or as otherwise outlined herein.

[0019] Preferably, the soft i book 32 that is used to design and construct digital absorbent pads may be of any dimensions, including dimensions ranging as follows: Petite of any size, length, width, thickness and shape, including a length L2 up to approximately one inch (1 inch) a Width W2 up to approximately three fourths of an inch (3/4 of an inch), a Thickness T2 up to approximately one half of an inch (1/2 of an inch); Extra Small of any size, length, width, thickness and shape, including a length L2 up to approximately one and one third of an inch (1 and 1/3 of an inch), a Width W2 up to approximately three fourths of an inch (3/4 of an inch), a Thickness T2 up to approximately one half of an inch (1/2 of an inch); Small of any to any size, length, width, thickness and shape, including a length L2 up to approximately one and one half of an inch (1 and 1/2 of an inch), a Width W2 up to approximately one inch (1 inch), a Thickness T2 up to approximately one half of an inch (1/2 of an inch); Medium of any size, length, width, thickness and shape, including a Length L2 up to approximately two inches (2 inches), a Width W2 up to approximately one and one half of an inches (3 inches);

[0020] Regular of any size, length, width, thickness and shape, including a length L2 up to approximately three inches (3 inches), a Width W2 up to approximately two inches (2 inches), a Thickness T2 up to approximately one inch (1 inch); Large of any size, length, width, thickness and shape, including a length L2 up to approximately four inches (4 inches), a Width W2 up to approximately three inches (3 inches), a Thickness T2 up to approximately one and one half inches (1 and 1/2 inches); Extra large to any size, length, width, thickness and shape, including a length L2 up to approximately ten inches (10 inches), a Width W2 up to approximately eight inches (8 inches), a Thickness T2 up to approximately four inches (4 inches).

[0021] While specific embodiments of the instant invention have been illustrated and depicted, it would be clear to those skilled in the art that many, many other similar types and changes can be made without departing from the course and scope of this invention.
