Abstract: The present invention relates generally to an anchoring device for a deck or dock or similar structure. More particularly, the invention encompasses a device and an apparatus for securing items to a structure that has an opening for accommodating the inventive anchoring device. The invention further includes options for different configurations for a tying device. The inventive device can be made with a rust resistant material or could be coated with a material to prevent corrosion of the invention and extend the life of the anchoring device.
