What is claimed is:

1. A remote control system, which is equipped with a portable terminal having a display part which displays various information, and a communication device being capable to carrying out mutual communication with the terminal, and having a display part which displays text information which was obtained through a network, wherein the communication device comprises: a memory part, which stores screen information regarding a screen size of the display part of the terminal, character information obtaining means, which obtains a character string, a character size and alignment information of the character in a predetermined area which is displayed on a display screen of the display part of the communication device, character string editing means, which edits the character string on the basis of the character size and alignment information which were stored in the memory part and screen information of the terminal, in such a manner that all character strings, which were obtained by the character information obtaining means, are displayed on one screen of the display part of the portable terminal, and transmission means, which transmits a character string, which was edited by the character string editing means, to the terminal, in such a manner that it is displayed on the portable terminal.

2. The remote control system according to claim 1, wherein by transmitting screen information regarding a screen size of the display part of the portable terminal, to the communication device, the screen information is stored in the memory part of the communication device.

3. The remote control system according to claim 1, wherein the character string editing means carries out the above described editing, by editing a tag which is included in the character string.

4. The remote control system according to claim 1, wherein the character string editing means carries out the above described editing by editing script which is included in the character string.
