Carbon deposition eliminator for vehicle exhaust pipeThe Patent Description & Claims data below is from USPTO Patent Application 20070289810. Brief Patent Description - Full Patent Description - Patent Application Claims BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [0001]1. Field of the Invention [0002]The present invention relates to vehicle exhaust pipes and more specifically, to a carbon deposition eliminator for use in a vehicle exhaust pipe. [0003]2. Description of the Related Art [0004]The exhaust pipe of a motor vehicle is a tubular member mounted with a muffler. During the operation of the motor vehicle, the exhaust pipe discharges the engine waste gas to the atmosphere, and muffler reduces the exhaust noises. The installation of the muffler in the exhaust pipe affects smooth flowing of exhaust gas, i.e., the muffler reduces the flowing speed of exhaust gas, causing waste carbon to be deposited in the inside wall of the exhaust pipe easily. Deposition of waste carbon in the inside wall of the exhaust pipe affects exhaust of waste gas through the exhaust pipe, resulting in low performance of the engine. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION [0005]The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. [0006]According to one aspect of the present invention, the carbon deposition eliminator has a tapered inside wall for accelerating the flowing speed of exhaust gas, preventing deposition of exhaust carbon in the inside wall of the exhaust pipe. According to another aspect of the present invention, the carbon deposition eliminator has a tubular front neck for guiding out the accelerated flow of exhaust gas, preventing interference of side flow of turbulent air with the accelerated flow of exhaust gas. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS [0007]FIG. 1 is a sectional elevation of a carbon deposition eliminator in accordance with the present invention. [0008]FIG. 2 is a schematic sectional view of the present invention, showing the carbon deposition eliminator in action. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT [0009]Referring to FIG. 1, a carbon deposition eliminator in accordance with the present invention is shown comprising a tubular body 10, a tubular neck 101 axially extending from one end of the tubular body 10, a gas input port 11 defined in the tubular body 10, an exhaust port 12 defined in the tubular neck 101. The tubular body 10 has a tapered inner diameter 13 gradually reducing from the gas input port 11 toward the exhaust port 12. The tubular neck 101 has an inner diameter 14 extending from the narrowest end of the tapered inner diameter 13 of the tubular body 10 to the exhaust port 12. The inner diameter 14 of the tubular neck 101 is equal to the diameter of the exhaust port 12. Further, the wall thickness of the tubular neck 101 is smaller than the wall thickness of the tubular body 10. The outer wall 15 of the tubular neck 101 is curved smoothly and downwardly forwards from the periphery of the tubular body 10 to the periphery of the exhaust port 12. [0010]Referring to FIG. 2, the carbon deposition eliminator is installed in the exhaust pipe 1 of a motor vehicle. When exhaust gas H enters the gas input port 11 of the tubular body 10 of the carbon deposition eliminator, it is compressed by the tapered inner diameter 13 of the tubular body 10, and therefore the flowing speed of exhaust gas H is accelerated, and the accelerated flow of exhaust gas LH is then guided by the straight inner diameter 14 of the tubular neck 101 to the outside of the carbon deposition eliminator through the exhaust port 12. [0011]Because the carbon deposition eliminator greatly accelerates the flowing speed of exhaust gas, carbon powder in the accelerated exhaust gas will not deposit in the inside wall of the exhaust pipe 1 easily. [0012]Further, when the accelerated flow of exhaust gas LH flows out of the exhaust port 12 to the inside of the tailpiece of the exhaust pipe 1, turbulent flows of air H1 are produced around the outer wall 15 of the tubular neck 101 without affecting the flowing of the accelerated flow of exhaust gas LH, i.e., the tubular neck 101 guides the accelerated flow of exhaust gas LH to flow out of the carbon deposition eliminator toward the rear side of the exhaust pipe 1. Therefore, the invention effectively eliminates deposition of carbon in the inside wall of the exhaust pipe 1. [0013]Although a particular embodiment of the invention has been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
