Belt anchors

USPTO Application #: 20070079426
Title: Belt anchors
Abstract: The purpose of the invention is to anchor the belt in position around the waist of the wearer. This invention will keep the belt from moving higher or lower around the waist of the wearer. Belt loops around the waist band of the pants have kept the belt in place for years. There are a number of ways of holding up the pants at the waist without using a belt such as buttons, elastics, etc. But if you want to use a belt without belt loops the belt must be anchored. This is what the four claims are about. The belt anchor holds the belt more firmly in place. It also allows for the belt to be used without belt loops on the pants, giving the wearer a different look about the waist. (end of abstract)

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0004] The invention pertains to holding the pant up at the waist with a belt. This has been done in the past and is currently done by putting the belt through a series of belt loops. The loops and the tightness of the belt keeps the belt from moving higher or lower around the waist of the wearer.

The fasteners does a better job of holding the belt in place and some men like the no belt loop look. The fasteners do not hold up the pants. The fasteners attaches the belt to the pants and the belt holds the pants up.

[0006] The Belt Anchor 1. holds the belt in the right position around the waist by using touch Fasteners (velcro) on the belt and touch fasteners (velcro) around the waist band of the pants. The Belt Anchor 2. holds the belt in the right position around the waist by using Ziploc Fasteners on the belt and Ziploc fasteners around the waist band of the pants. The Belt Anchor 3. holds the belt in the right position around the waist by using a hook and eye closure on the belt and around the waist band of the pants. The Belt Anchor 4. holds the belt in the right position around the waist by using anorak snaps (button snaps) to fasten the belt to the pants.
