Detachable cabinet with multiple functions


A detachable cabinet with multiple functions is provided. The cabinet includes a folding frame, a top panel and a bottom panel. The folding frame is foldable to save transport costs. Also, the top panel and the bottom panel are connected to the folding frame the notch and the stud. Therefore, the bench cabinet can be assembled and disassembled easily without tools by users. After assembly, the cabinet would assemble divider panels or drawers to form as a floor cabinet, a drawer cabinet or a storage cabinet.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a cabinet which is adapted for a floor cabinet, a drawer cabinet or a storage cabinet, especially to a detachable cabinet with multiple functions.

2. Related Art

Do it yourself (DIY) modular furniture is currently popular because DIY furniture can be transported easily after being disassembled into component pieces and also can be changed into different forms depending on different requirements. Additionally, people enjoy a sense of achievement when the furniture is completed.

However, DIY modular furniture still has some disadvantages because tools are needed when the furniture is assembled or disassembled. For example, a conventional DIY cabinet is composed of multiple boards or sheets of materials to fabricate a frame in which objects are held. Fastening devices detachably used to connect adjacent boards or sheets of materials to construct a frame are mostly flat-head or oval-head countersunk screws that require a suitable screwdriver to fasten or release the countersunk screws. Therefore, assembling or disassembling the DIY cabinet is inconvenient or impossible when suitable tools are not available.

Moreover, DIY cabinet is usually with signal function. If the users would like to use a floor cabinet, a drawer cabinet or a storage cabinet, it needs to buy at least three different cabinets, even the user only use one of them at one time. Hence, it is very inconvenient for users.

The present invention is, therefore, intended to obviate or at least alleviate the problems encountered in the prior art.

SUMMARY

OF THE INVENTION

It is an objective of the present invention to provide a detachable cabinet with multiple functions. The cabinet is easy to assemble for users, and the space-occupied is decreased to save transport cost. Also, the cabinet is adapted for a floor cabinet, a drawer cabinet or a storage cabinet.

The cabinet according to the present invention includes a folding frame, a top panel and a bottom panel. The folding frame includes a back wall and two folding sidewalls connected two opposite sides respectively. The folding sidewalls are foldable to flatly contact to the back wall, and the folding sidewalls includes studs at a top side and a bottom side of an inner surface. The top panel includes at least one notch at two opposite sides of a bottom surface, and is connected to the folding frame between the sidewalls near the top sides of the sidewalls by the studs fixing to the notch. The bottom panel includes at least one notch at two opposite sides of a bottom surface, and is connected to the folding frame between the sidewalls near the bottom sides of the sidewalls by the studs fixing to the notch.

The folding sidewalls include a plurality of fixing holes at the inner surface. By fixing supporters or sliders, dividers or drawers can be assembled to form as a floor cabinet, a drawer cabinet or a storage cabinet.

These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following description and appended claims. It is to be understood that both the foregoing general description and the following detailed description are examples, and are intended to provide further explanation of the invention as claimed.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a respective view of the cabinet in accordance with the present invention.

FIG. 3 is a respective view of the folding frame of the cabinet in accordance with the present invention, which shows the folding frame to be folded.

FIG. 4 is a respective view of the folding frame of the cabinet in accordance with the present invention, which shows the folding frame to be unfolded.

FIG. 5 is a respective view of the cabinet in accordance with the present invention, which shows the top panel and the bottom panel to be connected to the folding frame.

FIG. 6 is a respective view of the cabinet in accordance with the present invention, which shows the stubs connecting to the notches.

FIG. 7 is a respective view of the cabinet in accordance with the present invention, which shows the supporters connecting to the sidewall.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

OF THE INVENTION

Reference will now be made in detail to the present preferred embodiments of the invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Wherever possible, the same reference numbers are used in the drawings and the description refers to the same or the like parts.

FIG. 1 is a respective view of the cabinet in accordance with the present invention.

The cabinet 1 according to the present invention includes a folding frame 10, a bottom panel 30 and a top panel 20. Please refer to FIG. 2, which is a respective view of the folding frame of the cabinet in accordance with the present invention. The folding frame 10 includes a back wall 11 and two folding sidewalls, a first folding sidewall 12 and a second folding sidewall 13, and a front frame 14. The first folding sidewall 12 and the second folding sidewall 13 are pivotly connected two opposite sides 111, 112 respectively. The front frame 14 is pivotly connected to the other side of the first folding sidewall 12 and the second folding sidewall 13. The first folding sidewall 12 and the second folding sidewall 13 are formed by two panels which are pivotly connected together. Therefore, by this structure, the first folding sidewall 12 and the second folding sidewall 13 are foldable toward to the back wall 11 to drive the front frame 14 to flatly contact to the back wall 11. Please see FIG. 3, the space-occupied is decreased to save transport costs or save the storage spaces.

When unfolding, please see FIG. 4, the back wall 11 and the front frame 14 are moved far from each other, until the first folding sidewall 12 and the second folding sidewall 13 are unfolded, see FIG. 2. Also, the first folding sidewall 12 and the second folding sidewall 13 have studs 50 at a top side 122, 132 and a bottom side 123, 133 of an inner surface 121, 131. The top panel 20 includes notches 40 at two opposite sides 22, 23 of a bottom surface 21, and the bottom panel 30 includes notches 40 at two opposite sides 32, 33 of a bottom surface 31. Please see FIG. 5, the top panel 20 and the bottom panel 30 are connected to the folding frame 10 between the first folding sidewall 12 and the second folding sidewall 13 near the top sides 122, 132 of the sidewalls 12, 13 by the studs 50 fixing to the notch 40.

Please refer to FIG. 6, the studs 50 has a neck section 52 and a head section 51, and the neck section 52 has a proximal end connected to the sidewalls 12, 13 and a distal end connected to the head section 51. Additionally, an outer diameter of the head section 51 is greater than a diameter of the neck section 52. For example, the studs 50 may be a bolts. The notch 40 is a single opening trough with a small dimension clamping portion 41. The head section 51 of the studs 50 is put into the notches 40, and the neck section 52 is tight-fit by the neck section 52 to firmly connection. The top panel 20 and the bottom panel 30 can only be disassembled upward perpendicularly.

Therefore, the cabinet 1 has a storage space S surrounding by the folding frame 10, the top panel 20 and the bottom panel 30. The storage space S can be used by the users for storage. Also, the cabinet 1 is easy to assemble or dissemble for the users.

The cabinet 1 of the present invention is further with multiple functions. Please see FIG. 7, the first folding sidewall 12 and the second folding sidewall 13 further include fixing holes 15 at the inner surface 121, 131. The supporters 60 includes a L-shaped body 61, a inserting portion 62 extending from the back side of the L-shaped body 61, and a supporting pad 63. The inserting portion 62 is tight-fit in the fixing holes 15 and the supporting pad is adapted to support the divider panels 16. Please refer to FIG. 8, the cabinet 1 is formed as a floor cabinet. Furthermore, The L-shaped body 61 and the inserting portion 62 are made of materials with high strength, such as plastic or metal. And the supporting pad 63 is made of soft materials, such as rubber or foam.

On the other hand, the fixing holes 15 are used to connect the sliders 17, please refer to FIGS. 9 and 10. The drawers 70 can be mounted thereon to make the cabinet 1 as a drawer cabinet.

Please refer to FIGS. 11A and 11B, the cabinet 1 further includes a stand 80. The stand 80 includes two transverse sticks 81, 82. Each transverse stick 81, 82 includes two plinths 811, 812, 821 and 822 at two ends. The plinths 811 and 822 are pivotly connected to the lengthwise stick 83 and 84. Another plinths 812, 821 and the end of the lengthwise sticks 83, 84 include a male buckle member 71 and a female buckle member 72 to connect together. Therefore, the lengthwise sticks 83, 84 can be swung to flatly contact with the transverse sticks 81, 82, due to the pivot-connection between the plinths 811, 822 and the lengthwise sticks 83, 84. Thus, the transport costs are decreased, see FIG. 11B.

The male buckle member 71 includes a connecting portion 711 and a pivot 712. The male buckle members 71 are connected to the lengthwise sticks 83, 84 by the connecting portions 21. The male buckle member 71 is connected to the lengthwise sticks 83, 84 by a screw 714 in usual way. The screw 714 is fixed through a fixing hole 713 to fix in the lengthwise sticks 83, 84. The female buckle member 72 includes a connecting portion 721 and a sleeve 722. The female buckle members 72 are connected to the plinths 812, 821 by the connecting portions 721. The female buckle member 72 is connected to the plinths 812, 821 by a screw 724 in usual way. The screw 724 is fixed through a fixing hole 723 to fix in the plinths 812, 821.

Therefore, the male buckle member 71 is connected to the female buckle member 72 by the pivot 712 inserting into the sleeve 722 and tight-fit therein. Thus, the lengthwise sticks 83, 84 and the plinths 812, 821 are connected together to form the stand 80. The male buckle members 71 and the female buckle members 72 are connected to form a hinge, especially is a butterfly hinge, which is a common connecting element with low cost and easy to obtain.

Then, the fixing pillars 801 on the top surface of the stand 80 are connected to the holes 101 of the cabinet 1, see FIG. 12, to support the cabinet 1, see FIG. 13.

Moreover, please see FIGS. 14 and 15, the folding frame 10 further includes a hanging stick 91 at a back side 113 of the back wall 11. The hanging stick 91 has a inclined plane 911 at a bottom surface 912. The fixing stick 92 is fixed on a wall surface 93, and has a corresponding inclined plane 921 at a top surface 922. Therefore, the cabinet 1 could be hanged by the hanging stick 91 placing on the fixing stick.

Also, the cabinet 1 has front doors 94 to shield the storage space S for clear, privacy or clean. The front door 94 has handle 941 for users to easy to open.

The invention in its broader aspects is therefore not limited to the specific details and representative embodiments shown and described herein. Accordingly, various modifications may be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the general inventive concept as defined by the appended claims and their equivalents.
