Container

USPTO Application #: 20090173711
Title: Container
Abstract: A container made so a large cap can be fitted thereto by providing a cap locking neck portion 30 whose inner and outer diameters are larger than an opening side neck portion 13 at a container should side neck portion 14 of a container neck 10. If the diameter of an opening side neck portion is decreased to minimize the contact surface between contents and air and a small cap is fitted on a container where there is the concern that exposure to air may alter the quality of contents in the container, there is not only the problem that a gap results between the cap top board and the container opening where adequate locking force is not available but the problem that force is required to open and close the lid, making removal and fitting troublesome. The present invention relates to a container comprising a cap locking neck portion larger than an opening side neck portion of a neck.

BACKGROUND TECHNOLOGY

As exposure to air can result in changes to the quality of the contents of a container, containers have been fitted with caps for a small opening neck diameter to minimize the contact surface area for the container\'s contents.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION Problem to be Solved by the Invention

However, fitting a small cap with a cap locking neck portion in a small neck matching the small diameter of the opening side neck portion can result in gaps between the container opening and the cap top board as insufficient locking strength is available, so there is not only the problem of an imperfect seal but also of the difficulty of removing and fitting the cap which require strength.

In addition, there have been proposals to fit caps with large external diameters on small-diameter opening side neck portions, but in addition to the problem of insufficient locking strength when the cap locking neck portion has a small diameter similar to the opening side neck portion, there is the problem that when providing a cap locking neck portion at the container shoulder, the cap has to be large in order to cover the neck up to the shoulder portion.

Means to Solve the Problem

Therefore, the present invention provides a container provided with a cap locking neck portion whose inner and outer diameters are larger than those of the opening side neck portion of the container neck as described in claim 1.

In addition, the present invention provides a container for furnishing extrusion flexibility to the cap locking neck in the container described in claim 1 as described in claim 2.

In addition, the present invention provides a container for furnishing an extrusion restoration elasticity to a cap locking neck portion in the container described in claim 1 or 2 as described in claim 3.

In addition, the present invention provides a container in which a cap locking neck portion comprises a screwing construction in the container described in any of claims 1, 2 and 3 as described in claim 4.

In addition, the present invention provides a container in which a screw closing construction comprises a rotational screwing construction no more than 90 degrees of the cap in the container described in claim 4 as described in claim 5.

In addition, the present invention provides a container in which a screwing construction comprises a multi-threaded screwing construction in the container described in claim 4 or 5 as described in claim 6.

In addition, the present invention provides a container provided with a stopper that releases freely with a reverse movement in the cap locking neck portion of the container neck in the container described in any of claims 1 through 6 as described in claim 7.

In addition, the present invention provides a container in which a stopper comprises a click stop mechanism in the container described in claim 7 as described in claim 8.

In addition, the present invention provides a container in which a cap locking neck comprises a press locking construction in the container described in any of claims 1, 2, and 3 as described in claim 9.

In addition, the present invention provides a container constituted such that a press locking mechanism is provided with a locking level portion at a large diameter neck, and mounting of the cap completes when a locking projection provided at a cap skirt portion engages the above-mentioned locking level portion due to pressing in the container described in claim 9 as described in claim 10.

In addition, the present invention provides a container provided with a locking level portion whose neck diameter between a large diameter neck and a container shoulder portion is small in the container described in claim 10 as described in claim 11.

In addition, the present invention provides a container wherein a press locking construction is a click stop type in the container described in claim 9, 10 or 11 as described in claim 12.

In addition, the present invention provides a container wherein a cap adhesion elastic structure is provided at a border portion between the opening side neck portion of the container neck and the cap locking neck portion in the container described in any of claims 1 through 12 as described in claim 13.

In addition, the present invention provides a container whose cap adhesion elastic structure comprises a concave cross-section in the container described in claim 13 as described in claim 14.
