Abstract: A set of instructions for causing a computer system to monitor transactions involving security documents. Each security document has disposed thereon or therein coded data including a number of coded data portions, each coded data portion being indicative of at least an identity of the security document. The set of instructions causes the computer system to receive indicating data from a sensing device, the sensing device being responsive to sensing of coded data to generate indicating data at least partially indicative of the identity of the security document and the transaction. The computer system updates, transaction data stored in a data store, using the identity, the transaction data being indicative of the identity of the security document and the transaction.
