This application is a continuation of U.S. application Ser. No. 10/815,628 filed Apr. 2, 2004 all of which is herein incorporated by reference.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present application relates to a method of minimizing absorption of visible light in ink compositions comprising infrared (1R) metal-dithiolene dyes. It has been developed primarily to avoid undesirable coloration in IR inks and, more particularly, to avoid undesirable coloration of substrates printed or marked with IR inks.
